Social Disease

0 0

Today man is bearing a rare disease
More deadly than anything we’ve faced
It holds us with a strong grip, like fleas
All of your past once had totally erased

Once we played together, laughed and cried
Everything we had done was face to face
We knew real emotions and our own pride
Every day we had, was filled with total grace

We used to go everywhere, just a trip
To your friends’ house, your cousin, anywhere
And even travel around and hold a tight grip
To the wonders that nature holds everywhere

But no, people don’t want to go outside
Even so, only some still believe in the connection
With nature and humans, a blissful ride
Just a way for you to find your inner reflection

Today all we care about is getting online
In Social Media and Web chats and such
Taking selfies, trolling others, a status line
Watching videos, listening to music, so much

Technology has changed the man into robots
A robot that is becoming useless and idle
Sitting still or laying down, sometimes forgot
The things to be done, which may be more idol

Can you spend one day without using anything
And spend a full day, in connection with nature
With friends, family, the people that love within
Try spending your time, with all God’s creature

Use technology, I will say not, but be wise
Just think of the things that you lost from the past
Be connected to all, not with networks, but with eyes
And heart and the soul within, our days should last

Never should you allow technology to be the one to hold you
Make you have roots that hold to sit or lay, idle and still
Cause this deadly disease that holds a grip on you
Can be cured, because the cure is inside your own will
