There was a man, stiff as a bull
With strength beyond measure
And with sheer determination he rose
As an icon of will, a model to follow

But one day he fell, fainted for real
Everyone took him up and went
He was hospitalized for long
His dear one staying outside

And then the doctor came out
With the news that struck everyone
He was down with cancer, stage 3
With no hope for cure nor for life

Everyone said he won’t survive
That his days have been counted
They said to call everyone and say
That he won’t survive for much longer

Criticism was all that had filled around
Everyone down-hearted him,
Everyone told he won’t survive
That he is wasting money for nothing

But no, he won’t give up hope
Whatever the people throw at him
Whatever they said to make him bad
Still he won’t lay his heart down

These petty issues are mere words
Just dust to be brushed out
Haters and critics may get on with hate
But those who don’t, rise high

Many days had passed on
But he believed in on himself
And yet, so he survived at last
From the deadly illness called cancer

People started to praise him
For his will and the power of his heart
Everyone had started to cheer and to say
That there goes the fighter, a mighty one
