Broken Heart

0 0

Shattered pieces, can never be mended
The life I lived was nothing more than a lie
I was your life and you were mine
But I forgot to see, that you’re not real

You just needed me, I was just a thing
To be used, abused and thrown out
To the garbage can, filled with people
Broken as me, heartless as we are

I thought you loved me deeply
I thought the time we had was real
You made meaning to my life
But showed me people change by time

The love we shared was never enough
To sustain the life, we encountered
And now you live on with your new person
But here I am, alone with just a broken heart
