Short Tale Challenge #5 – Soaring through the Skies by Ramblings of a Writer

The desire to fly is always on my mind, just looking at birds soaring freely through space in my idea of a wonderful journey an interesting spin in the highway of the heavens with no hassles from the airports.

I wouldn’t mind being a bird looking at the beauty of the world from the air during the day, but I think I wouldn’t enjoy the cold nights and stormy days, but after all, you don’t have a choice if you are a bird.

So soaring through the Skies would just be a dream.
Short Tale Challenge 5 by The Bag Lady

Gray clouds do not deter me. In fact, not having the sun in my eyes is a bonus. I’m also not as visible to hunters–those men who would prefer me lying dead on the ground as a mini trophy instead of admiring my unique hunting prowess.

I need no bullets or arrows, for I have been fitted with keen eyes and sharp talons. Soaring over my target, I can dive in milliseconds to capture my prey. Whether on ground or in water, they are impervious to my skill. Generations of my kind lead the avian cast in hunting skills.
