Short Tale Challenge #3 Roundup:

Here is the roundup to last Tuesday’s prompt. Be sure to visit their blogs.

  1. Short Tale Challenge #3 – Ruins by Ramblings of a Writer

Late in the afternoon, and the feeling of stress was starting to surround my mind, I had taken the wrong path ending up surrounded by rocks and high shrubbery.

Rounding the corner before me was ruins of an old building, seeing a red fence in front of me, my heart lifted with relief as I heard a car in the distance.

Suddenly a loud noise sent me into a frizzy panic, tripping over a lump in the ground, hitting my head on the tree.

Next thing I knew I was waking up in hospital, with a bad headache, otherwise perfect.

  2. Enter with Caution by Always A Writer

Sitting peacefully in the shade of the grand old trees in the forest Susan looked around and wondered what else there was to see there. This was an area new to her.

Finishing her lunch, she gathered her things and headed off down the trail. This part of the forest was quiet, devoid even of animal sounds.

She came upon the ruins of some old buildings. One was a small cottage and very quaint. It still had its door. She slowly opened the door and stepped into the old cottage.

    She fell…there was no floor.

Today’s prompt is “Flower”
